A massive ice sheet in Greenland has melted this month over an unusually larger area. This was detected after analyzing radar data from the Indian Space Research Organization’s Oceansat 2 satellite. Later, NASA in a statement said that the “unprecedented” melting is highest in three decades of satellite observation.
In addition to this, the sea ice in the Arctic Ocean has melted to its smallest point ever in a milestone that may show that worst-case forecasts on climate change are coming true.
