Renowned social worker late Dr Nanasaheb Dharmadhikari award ceremony for honoring the late social worker with the Maharashtra Bhushan Puraskar-2008 was held at Kharghar. The Maharashtra state’s the highest award “Maharashtra Bhushan Puraskar 2008″ was conferred on renowned social worker late Dr Nanasaheb Dharmadhikari amidst a gathering of his followers and disciples. The numbers present during the event can be termed historic for any event in Navi Mumbai. Present during the event was Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh who honoured the late Dr Dharmadhikari by presenting the award to his son Dattaray Dharmadhikari. Also present on the dias was Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil, Revenue Minister Narayan Rane, Thane Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik, Navi Mumbai Mayor Anjani Bhoir and other dignitaries. Dr Dharmadhikari, who nurtured the teachings of Ramdas Swami in Maharashtra through ”Shree Baithaka”, set up ”Shreesamarth Adhiyatmik Prasadik Seva” at Revdanda and dedicated his life to create social awareness in villages through ”Dasbodh Nirupam”.
