Hundreds of citizens flocked to CIDCO with their issues to meet Thane Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik. The Minister had organized his janta darbaar at CIDCO this time. The much awaited amnesty scheme of CIDCO was also launched at the hands of the Minister who did not hesitate to publicly accuse CIDCO Directors and past chairmen of misusing their powers. Dy. Editor Sana Warsia joins us from the CIDCO HQ in Belapur with more.
CIDCO’s doors are open for only rich builders and influential PAPs, never for the common citizens. Perhaps that it why when Thane Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik held his janta darbaar at CIDCO, there was a flood of complaints and grievances. Some complained about injustice to PAPs, others irregularities in 12.5% scheme, some raised the issue of hawking policy, while others approached with demand of a truck terminal. In the midst of hearing their grievance and ordering respective officers to take action, Thane Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik also launched the much awaited CIDCO Amnesty Scheme.
The Amnesty Scheme of CIDCO that has been announced for a period of three months was launched at the hands of Thane Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik, in the presence of CIDCO Managing Director Tanaji Satre, CIDCO Director Namdeo Bhagat and others. The Amnesty Scheme will allow residents owning CIDCO apartments and shops to transfer the property in their names.
Speaking to the media after his hours-long darbaar, Thane Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik said that the amnesty scheme will benefits the state and 1000s of citizens. Informed about the issues that people came to him with at CIDCO’s janta darbaar, he said that most were PAPs seeking relief of action against religious institutions. Goldsmiths, cobblers and barbers came with the appeal that CIDCO should allot plots for them. Truckers came with the appeal that CIDCO develop more truck terminals. Further exposing how CIDCO Directors and past Chairmen misused their powers and positions for personal benefits and gains, Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik said that they got plots allotted for their own benefits.
Just how many citizens have woes against CIDCO could be easily seen at Thane Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik’s janta darbaar. The CIDCO auditorium was filled with citizens, mostly the poor and PAPs both inside and outside. Citizens literally swarmed in to meet the Guardian Minister with their complaints exposing that CIDCO Directors have failed to do justice to not just citizens but even PAPs of the city.
