People of north west of Bangladesh are desperately trying to cope with the destruction that had caused a havoc in their lives. A storm that had struck the northwest of the country had completely flattened thousands of homes, uprooted trees and electricity poles further destroying fields all over the area. As the storm calmed down rescue work and villagers have been trying to rescue victims that had been buried alive under the mud houses. Many people had died due to the uprooting of trees and electricity poles. Government officials have send emergency relief to thousand of villagers still many are still waiting for help. Destruction of houses, field and property have led the people of northeast stranded as they are now trying to work their way through this storm destruction. Kiran Kidwai – International Desk, NMTV
