UP CM Yogi Adityanath skip father’s funeral amid Coronavirus lockdown

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s  Father Anand Singh Bisht passed away on Monday  20th April at 10.44 am, Anand Singh Bisht was admitted on 15th march due to complications in kidney and liver to the Gastroenterology department of  All India Institute of medical science (AIIMS) as his condition became critical.

However due to the Coronavirus lockdown, UP CM Yogi Adityanath could not partake his father’s funeral.

“I wished to see my father one last time but due to on-going  pandemic,  it is my responsibility towards the 23 crore people of my state. I could not visit to my father’s funeral for the success of the lockdown and to defeat the novel Coronavirus pandemic. Tomorrow on April 21 during the last rites of my father. I   would like to request people related to follow the lockdown guidelines and not to participate in huge numbers.  I am paying tributes to my respected father, and will surely visit after the lockdown,” UP CM Yogi Adityanath said in a statement issued.

Despite getting the sad news of his father demise Adityanath continued  his meeting and got up only after giving necessary direction to the officials.
