Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has always been known for outspoken response. This time UP CM Yogi Adityanath lashed out saying that being infected due to the Coronavirus is not a crime but to hide it is a crime and reiterated that strict action will be taken against those people who fail to comply with the regulations set.
“The role of Tablighi Jamaat was most condemnable. To get a disease is not a crime but to hide a disease which is infectious is definitely a crime. And this crime has been done by those associated with the Tablighi Jamaat.” said Yogi Adityanth
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath accused the members of the Tablighi Jamat in Uttar Pradesh and other places where the Coronavirus spread itself. He lashed out stating that if they wouldn’t have hidden the disease Coronavirus and wouldn’t have marched around like its carriers, then perhaps we would have controlled the coronavirus outbreak to a large extent.
A Tablighi Jamaat congregation held in March in Delhi’s Nizamuddin area significantly contributed to the doubling of coronavirus cases in India.
