As Navi Mumbaikars tread with cautious optimism amid the Coronavirus pandemic, Diwali for NMMC workers is likely to brighten with bonuses. Former Minister and Airoli MLA Ganesh Naik’s weekly visits are yielding fruits of development much needed for a city imbalanced due to the advent of a vague deadly pandemic.
Every year Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation offers Diwali bonuses to its employees and to keep the practice in motion even amid the pandemic, upholding the spirits of the civic body employees, Ganesh Naik’s demand made in NMMC meet 16.0 with Commissioner Abhijit Bangar of not breaking the bonus tradition to it’s employees in backdrop of the administrative rule on the civic body and thereafter his relentless efforts for Navi Mumbaikars, yet again have paved way, announcing Rs. 25,000 Diwali bonus to permanent NMMC employees, Rs. 19,000 Diwali bonus to temporary contract basis employees, healthcare workers, teachers, helpers on a honorarium basis and Rs. 9,000 Diwali bonus to Asha Workers.
