676 prisoners to be released by UAE to mark Ramadan

United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has ordered the release of 676 prisoners in lieu of Ramadan. As the Muslim community across the world gear for the most Holy month of the Islamic calender, the President made the announcement saying that the aim is to give the inmates a chance to start a new life.

The 676 prisoners to be released include foreign nationals. Those pardoned will be allowed to work within UAE while the others will be deported back to their countries.
