Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar was in the satellite city to be a part of the Mathadi melawa organized on the occasion of the 78th birth anniversary of MLA Annasaheb Patil. Ajit Dada Pawar assured that the pending issues of the Mathadis would be resolved in the upcoming winter session.
There are still many issues of the Mathadi community which is yet to be resolved by the state. Many of the issues still pending are related to the Urban Development, Housing, Revenue and other departments. However, bringing relief to the Mathadi community, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has assured that their pending issues would be resolved in the upcoming state winter session. He was speaking during the Mathadi meet held on the occasion of the 78th birth anniversary of MLA Annasaheb Patil.
He added that by Diwali, he would take a special meeting with Home Minister R R Patil, Thane Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik, Minister for Urban Development Bhaskar Jadhav and CIDCO Chairman Pramod Hindurao to discuss on how these issues can be resolved. Ajit Pawar also gave the assurance that commercial tax would no longer be charged from the poor 2 lakh 2000 Mathadis. Addressing the gathering, Thane Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik said that the state was always working towards providing justice to the PAPs like the Mathadis.
