A SPECIAL ON RANGOLI

rangoli-2Holi is never celebrated without colors and Diwali never without rangolis. During Diwali, Goddess Lakshmi is believed to visit homes that are well lit, so families decorate their homes in a bright manner. The whole object of making rangoli during Diwali is to welcome Goddess Laxmi, the Godess of wealth into one’s house. Most Rangolis are basically geometric patterns formed with dots and lines to make squares, circles, swastikas, lotus. In hindu tradition, Rangoli brings good luck and is being followed for the past many years. Rangoli designing also enables one to unleash their creativity. The rangoli is colored in shades of seven colors like the rainbow. With cameraperson Abhay Prasad, Archana Tripathi for NMTV News.
