Abu Dhabi Forensics Wins Iron Man Tournament


Forensic Evidence Department at Abu Dhabi Police won the first place in Iron Man Tournament. The Western Region Police Directorate came second, while the Government and Diplomatic Premises Protection Department came third.

On the individual level of the championship; Abdullah Al Luqayti from the Forensic Evidence Department came in first place; Saud Al Zaabi from the Operations Department, Directorate General of Central Operation came in second place; and Sari Abdullah from Western Region Police Directorate came in third place.

The Iron Man Tournament was organized at the end of the 2015 Sports Season with the participation of 34 departments from Abu Dhabi Police. It was organized by the Strategy and Performance Development, Sports Activity Section in Al Bahya Area, with participation of various departments at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters.

Colonel Mohammed Hamid bin Dalmouj Al Dhaheri, General Director of Strategy and Performance Development, reiterated the unrelenting commitment of the Abu Dhabi Police to encourage sporting activities for staff members. He also praised the support provided by the leadership to athletes, in an effort to achieve great sporting results, pursuant to the MoI’s vision, which aims at enhancing staff members’ abilities and skills in all areas of sports, and creating an environment based on cohesion, participation and interaction through such tournaments and competitions.

He also expressed his gratitude to the teams, individuals, and liaison officers who took part in the 2015 sports tournaments as they contributed to the success of the Abu Dhabi Police sports activities. He wished that the next sports season would realize further success and achievements.
