The students of Fr. Agnels Junior College, Vashi got the opportunity of studying the stock market, in the literal sense. The students were sent by the school to spend an entire day at the National Stock Exchange.
Fr. Agnels Junior College, Vashi took students of its junior college to the National Stock Exchange to understand the working system of the NSE and also to get a fair knowledge on the stock market. The students attended a special programme organized by NSE to increase awareness about financial markets amongst students through education. Nearly 200 students got the opportunity to be a part of this programme who understood the financial market and the evolving trends in equity shares, stocks and others. Speaking about their visit, students shared that they were given three sessions through which they learnt a lot. One of the students shared that earlier they had no knowledge about the working of the financial market but the seminar had helped them a lot. The Cor-ordinator of the Junior College, Kulwinder Kaur said that the aim was to inform students about their future. She also shared her experience at the National Stock Exchange.
For some years now, the most powerful country USA too has been severely hit by recession and while several countries like India are trying to cope up with it, the need of the hour is to educate the people of the economy. The step taken by Fr. Agnels to educate its students about this is quite commendable as these students will form a significant part of the economy of the country in future.
