The third generation of the Pawar family is all set to set foot in politics. Grandson of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar and son of former deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar, Parth will contest Lok Sabha elections as NCP candidate from Maval constituency. The official’s announcement in this regard is expected soon.
Speculations were rife since last few days that Parth Pawar will be the party candidate for Lok Sabha from Maval. Senior party leaders in a meeting with Sharad Pawar on Saturday finalised Parth’s candidature from Maval. The local party cadre is said to be insisting on his candidature.
Parth Pawar had begun touring Maval constituency even before his candidature was considered by the party leadership. His name was making rounds since long and it was the decision of Sharad Pawar. Accordingly, the grandfather launched the grandson in politics. The NCP leaders and cadre had started strategising Parth’s launch since October last year.
