Tribute to the martyrs continued by way of a meeting organized by Indian Merchants Chamber and Thane Belapur Industries Association. A brainstorming session was held in the Commodity Exchange building at APMC by Indian Merchants Chamber and Thane Belapur Industries Association. The main agenda behind the meet was to spread the message that we should protect our ownselves and should not depend on the police or state, especially after how the Mumbai terror attacks unfolded. Members expressed that while Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had promised Shanghai for the city, what he gave was Jallianwala Bagh. Also present during the meet was chairman of Indian Merchants Chamber, Dinesh Parekh and Co- Chairman of IMC Ashok Kumbhare. On the other hands, Rotary Club of Navi Mumbai had organized a procession for the martyrs of terrorist attack at Vashi railway station. No body can forget the unfortunate incident that Mumbai faced recently. And no one can forgive the terrorists who killed our most efficient and brave policemen and commandos. In the memory of these brave heroes, a procession was organized by Rotary Club of Navi Mumbai at Vashi Railway Station where hundreds of people paid their tribute to the martyrs ATS Chief Hemant Karkare, encounter specialist Vijay Salaskar, Additional Commissioner of police Ashok Kamte and Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan.
