Ferguson again witnesses the death of another black who had been shot down by the cops. According to the cops a black teenager approached the patrolling area yelling with a knife in his hand, ‘kill me now’. The officers tried to stop the teenager by giving out many verbal commands but the teenager continued approaching towards the officers which led both the cops on duty to open fire at the teenager killing him. Although the authority calls the act justifiable as that was the only solution to control the situation. However, protestors are protesting against this act calling it one more racist attack, killing an unarmed teenager. They have again taken on the streets shouting slogans, ‘Hands up, don’t shoot’.
While addressing the dozen reporters that were present at the scene, Captian Ed Kuntz stated that an investigation had already been launched in the whole matter, but what had been laid out the action by the cops seemed completely justified. Kiran Kidwai – International Desk, NMTV
