ASSEMBLY PROCEEDINGS BROUGHT TO A HALT BY OPPOSITION ON THE ISSUE OF FARMERS SUICIDES

Assembly-1-The Sena and BJP proposed to adjourn the assembly session for the day to voice opposition over the farmer’s suicides issues but this was set aside by the ruling front. Hence, the opposition parties created mayhem as a result, the assembly proceedings were stalled for half an hour. When the session resumed, the state speaker assured both the fronts that a separate discussion for farmer’s suicide will be held. He said that this was a very serious issue and needed to become discussed on priority. The opposition parties said that the suicide of 40 farmers in the last 10 days is the reason for protesting aggressively on it. Speaking for the state, state Minister Harshvardhan Patil informed the media that they are willing to discuss the issue and will bring it in the assembly.
