Reduction in auto fares can be expected in the near future with the inauguration of the CNG gas station in Turbhe. Many auto rickshaws might convert to CNG with this new addition of gas station as they no longer have to wait in queue for long hours for refueling. Before the CNG Gas station was inaugurated at Turbhe, auto drivers had to wait in long queue for hours outside the petrol pumps. But now with the inauguration of the CNG Gas station at Turbhe the auto drivers can breathe a sigh of relief. The Refuelling is comparatively quicker which gives them more time to work during the day. The president of one of the unions of the auto rickshaw drivers said that reduction in fares could be expected but only after 60% of the autos getting converted to CNG. Getting an auto converted into CNG was a tedious task as there was no station in Navi Mumbai and obtaining the passing certificate from the RTO was the biggest hassle but now with the New CNG Station very soon all auto drivers can get their autos converted to CNG.
