The Sri Ayyapa Seva Samiti celebrated its 15th temple mahotsav between 8th to12th December at Nerul, in order to create solidarity among devotees. Sri Ayyappa Seva Samiti celebrated its 15th temple mahotsav at Ayyappa temple located at Nerul. The main purpose behind this celebration is to bring people together and to remember the god Ayyappa through devotional prayers and poojas. Devotees attended this grand mahotsav with reverence towards lord Ayyappa, who is said to be the incarnation of lord Shiva and Vishnu who is also a leading deity in the Kerala. Lavish food was prepared for the devotees who came in huge numbers during the week-long celebration. The trustee of the Ayyapa temple told us that every person belonging to any religion was welcome here. The event was also graced by renowned saint Krishnanand who spoke of Sanatan Dharma and its role in integrity of the nation. A traditional procession was also taken out by the devotees who carried the traditional lamp throughout the procession. Also present to take the blessings of the lord was Thane Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik.
