Billion-Dollar Warner Bros World Theme Park Inaugurated Abu Dhabi

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, opened Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi, the world’s first-ever Warner Bros. branded indoor theme park developed by Miral, Abu Dhabi’s creator of destinations. The world-class destination officially has opened to the public today.Almost 15,000 tickets for Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi have been sold ahead of opening to the public.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai; Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman; and Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed, Deputy Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council were among the many officials who attended the opening ceremony.

Mohammed Al Mubarak, chairman of Miral Asset Management — developer of the theme park — chairman of the Department of Culture and Tourism and Abu Dhabi Executive Council Member, was also on hand for the opening on Monday and said: “This is a milestone moment for us as we continue to cement Abu Dhabi’s positioning as one of the world’s leading family and tourism destinations. I am confident that the addition of this theme park to our already rich portfolio will further enhance Yas Island’s offering.”Seven years in the making, the Dh1 billion theme park on Yas Island boasts 29 rides over more than 1.6 million square feet.

It contains six immersive zones: Gotham City, Metropolis, Cartoon Junction, Bedrock, Dynamite Gulch, and Warner Bros Plaza. Each zone will feature live performance shows and superhero characters.
