Four days ahead of Delhi assembly polls, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday released party’s vision document for Delhi, which lays down roadmap to address various challenges facing the city.
Unleashing a slew of promises, BJP promised to make Delhi a world class city, with women security, transparency in governance, housing, power and water supply to be priority areas.
However, the document did not spell out BJP’s position on full statehood to the national capital which it had promised in its manifestos for the 2013 assembly polls and past elections.
arty’s chief ministerial candidate Kiran Bedi said, “The vision documents covers over 270 points and will focus on the issue of women safety, security, youth affairs, electricity and water, cleanliness, education and skill development, environment, 100% transparency, unimpeachable integrity, police accountability, maximum measurability, fiscal prudence, zero tolerance to corruption”
Stating that online and mobile technologies will be used to the fullest, she said, “There will be constant monitoring of government projects and the progress.”
In keeping with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s monthly radio address ‘Mann Ki Baat’, Bedi said she would also address the people of Delhi through ‘Dil Ki Baat’.
“Not just the Chief Minister, Cabinet Ministers / MLAs can also address over radio – Dil Ki Baat,” said Bedi.
