Following a massive BMC demolition drive, the busy streets of Bandra and Khar are now looking more clean with removal of illegal stall extensions. The demolition drive was carried out at licensed stalls in the roadside shopping hubs of H-west ward which impacted most of the Linking Road and Hill Road area.
Ward officials were on the field from 8 am and by end of day the tally of stalls against which action was taken stood at 178. Assistant municipal commissioner Sharad Ughade said large projections put up at 78 stalls were also removed.
