Chief Minister assures Rs 25,000 compensation to Kandivli fire affected slum dwellers


During the Nagpur winter session, the chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, announced Rs 25,000 as compensation for the each of the affected family in the Kandivli Damu Nagar fire. He said that government will bear the cost of injured slum dweller.

The fire took place in a slum where it spread and erupted after cylinder exploded.

The CM said in the legislative assembly, “Normally the government pays compensation Rs 3,500 but in this case the government will pay Rs 25,000 to the affected families and will bear the expenses of treatment who are injured in the fire.”
