SATISFACTORY RAINFALL IN MAHARASHTRA SO FAR
Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan said state has so far received ‘satisfactory’ rainfall and 71 per cent of Kharif sowing has been completed.
STATE OFFICIALS CAN BE DEPUTED TO CIVIC BODIES
With the aim of improving administrative efficiency of municipal corporations, state government has decided to allow government officials to work in civic bodies on deputation.

The state cabinet discussed the security plan and cleared that CCTV cameras would be installed all over the city and suburbs “as early as possible.”
CM PUSHES FOR MAXI CABS, AJIT PAWAR SAYS NO
The Congress and NCP once again seemed to have clashed on a proposal at the weekly cabinet meeting. The proposal of dispute pertained to Maxicabs in the state. The proposal was drafted by the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation and aimed at regulating Maxicabs so that the state could earn revenue of Rs. 150 Crore. While the NCP has tried to gain political points with unions of transporters in the state, their stance however is not good news for the debt ridden state treasury.
