Chief Minister Prithiviraj Chavan held a meeting of the Mumbai Pradesh Congress Committee where he preached no corruption in the state. He further gave guidance to the party workers to clean the image of the party in state and strengthen its working. The image of the Congress party in the state is at an all time low with the scandalous scams exposing the involvement of senior Congress leaders. With an aim to clean the image of the party and strengthen its functioning in the state, the new Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan held a meet with the members of the Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee in Mumbai. Speaking to the media about the meet, MPCC President Manikrao Thackrey said that the Chief Minister Prithiviraj Chavan had sternly preached of no corruption in the state and those indulging in corruption would be dealt with strictly. He added that the Chief Minister advised all those present to work towards strengthening the party and cleaning the image of the party in the state.
