Chief Minister launched CIDCO’s Smart Card for property owners in Navi Mumbai. The smart card that will act as a certificate of property will ensure that the property owner faces no hassles in getting his file from CIDCO. A few property owners in Navi Mumbai were given the smart cards at the hands of the Chief Minister during the event. Explaining to the Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh and all those gathered at the venue, CIDCO Managing Director G S Gill explained that the smart card will store all important documents related to any property owner in Navi Mumbai and will act as an authenticated certificate of property. The information once saved, cannot be changed, deleted or tampered by anyone but CIDCO. The card will reduce time wasted in lengthy property transactions and ensure safety of property documents literally in the house of the owner. The Chief Minister then officially launched the CIDCO e-property card and handed over smart cards to a few property owners on the occasion. Speaking to NMTV News, CIDCO Managing Director G S Gill gave an insight on the card. He informed that the Smart Card will first be optional.
