Chief Minister visits proposed Shivaji Monument project site

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis paid a visit to the proposed Chhatrapati Shivaji Monument project site. The project is expected to be constructed by 2019, in the Arabian Sea.

Taking the first big step to translate the project to reality, Fadnavis directed the Ministry of Finance to make adequate budgetary allocations for the initial work.

It reckons the government can work out its budget phase wise in the next four years making a beginning in 2016-17.

Kicking of the process, the tall statue of the warrior king which measures to 192 meters has been given all clearances. During his visit, the phases in which the project will be constructed was discussed. The project is estimated to cost Rs 1900 to Rs 2000 cr which will also feature other infrastructure and entertainment zones.
