CM Devendra Fadavnis endorses Vijay Chougule’s leadership with State Minister status

It’s a case of one powerful blow versus hundred smaller blows. From the moment Vijay Chougule joined Shiv Sena till date, he has been in the eye of rivals from within the party and outside it. When he lost the assembly elections of 2014 to Airoli MLA Sandeep Naik, many had almost written him off.

It was his third major defeat to arch rivals Naiks. And soon after when he contested NMMC elections, critics questioned the decision of him retracting to a political level of corporator. And then came the Mayor elections debacle when Vijay Chougule backed out from the race in the last minute in the last NMMC Mayoral elections. There were speculations that he backed out the night before the Mayoral elections as the Chief Minister Devendra Fadavnis had forced him to back off. But to the utter shock of Chougule rivals within Shiv Sena and across other political parties, destiny took such a turn that on a dais in Solapur, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadavnis himself endorsed Vijay Chougule as a leader of the masses. To the utter disappointment of his opponents, the Chief Minister then went on to announce a new committee for the Wadar community and announced Vijay Chougule as it Chairman giving him status of a state minister. (Watch the video)

In one moment, the man who was criticized parliamentary elections and assembly elections defeats and Mayoral elections debacle, was elevated to the status of a Minister in the state of Maharashtra. No one can deny that Vijay Chougule’s political career has reached its highest peak in December 2018. All Chougule critics who always attacked his characteristic nature on eve of every elections, need to change their game of challenging the might of Vijay Chougule in Navi Mumbai, as a Chief Minister of the repute of Devendra Fadavnis has acknowledged the work of Vijay Chougule and rewarded him for being a leader of the people.
