Unlike his predecessors, Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis does not host an annual iftar dinner, but he graced one organized by the city BJP unit at Haj House on Wednesday. This Iftar party was graced by senior leader Shahnawaz Hussain, State minister Vinod Tawde and Mumbai chief Ashish Shelar BJP vice-president Haider Azam.
“The Iftar dinner is to create bonds between the two communities. It is to promote harmony and pray for peace and prosperity in the state and the country,” said Azam.”There is no politics in it. It is just a way to celebrate the holy month in a spirit of brotherhood,” he added.
