Airoli’s corporator Manohar Madhvi and his wife Vinaya Madhvi ditched NCP and entered Shiv Sena. This comes as a major setback to NCP’s Navi Mumbai unit which is under the leadership of former minister Ganesh Naik. The duo announced their entry into Sena in the presence of Uddhav Thackeray and Thane guardian minister Eknath Shinde in Mumbai.

It may be noted that MK Madhavi was one of the prime accused in the HB Bhise case. He was later  arrested and had to go to jail . He had blamed the then NMMC Commissioner and now Shiv Sena deputy leader Vijay Nahata for his arrest. Now things seems to have changed now as he praised Shiv Sena Chief Uddhav Thackeray’s leadership. He and his wife joined the Sena, along with NMMC education committee member Rajesh Ghadi, and over a hundred of their supporters.

He informed NMTV that due to MLA Sandeep Naik’s indifferent attitude he was forced to leave NCP. He also informed that Ganesh Naik was inaccessible for three months and despite given an appointment was not able to meet him to put up his grievences. But said that he will remain loyal to Ganesh Naik forever as he had been his political mentor,” said Madhavi.

Manohar Madhavi popularly known as MK was always a confidante of Ganesh Naik, since the beginning of his political career almost two decades ago. But equations have changed, with NMMC elections round the corner mostly NCP & Congress corporators are switching loyalty to retain power with BJP coming to power in centre and state in with Shiv Sena.

NMTV was launched in the year 1999, and is Maharashtra only accredited 24-hour, 7-day-a-week local cable news station of Navi Mumbai airing news bulletins and programs in English, Hindi and Marathi.
