After the Mumbai High Court quashed the three-month extension of service granted to DGP P S Pasricha and Mumbai police commissioner D N Jadhav, both the cops were bid there first farewell in a media gathering. Director-General of Police P S Pasricha and Mumbai Police Commissioner D N Jadhav were given their first send off amidst a media gathering in Mumbai. It may be recalled that the judgment that came over a week ago had left the government red-faced, the Mumbai High Court quashed and set aside the three-month extension of service granted to DGP P S Pasricha and Mumbai Police Commissioner D N Jadhav as being “not reasoned, rational and not in the larger public interest. The judgment, which will be a future reference point in such extension cases, however, has been stayed for three weeks on a request made by the state and the Centre to enable them to go in appeal. And hence both the cops will complete their extended tenure till February 29. They met the media in a farewell ceremony where they paid gratitude to the media for the crucial role they have played throughout their career. DGP P S Pasricha voiced the same to NMTV News.
