Defeated Scottish leader Alex Salmond states people were tricked into voting against independence by false vows, UK

Defeated Scottish leader Alex Salmond had to resign after losing the elections and now have to leave United Kingdom. While addressing reporters Salmond stated that the people of Scotland were tricked into voting by the Prime Minister David Cameron and other London politicians by false vows that Scotland would be allotted new powers if it continues to stay under them.

‘I think the vow was something cooked up in desperation for the last few days of the campaign and I think everyone in Scotland now realizes that’ stated Alex Salmond.

On the other hand Prime Minister has expressed his determination for allotting new powers for Scotland but at the same time have agreed on new constitutional arrangements for the rest of Britain, that also includes England. Kiran Kidwai – International Desk, NMTV
