Campaigning for the Congress, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dixit arrived in Mumbai. She appealed to voters to vote for Congress to bring development in the city. Speaking to the media at the MRCC office, she stated that the way the government had led India to the path of success was in front of everyone. She stated that the government was working for the development of the financial capital of the country, Mumbai. Answering a question, Sheila Dixit stated that Delhi was everyone’s and that they had never created a differentiation between the locals and outsiders in Delhi. On the question of the death of a student due to beating by a teacher at a Delhi municipal school, she stated that the matter was being taken up with priority and that the government was considering bringing about a law against such actions. She also stated that the allegations of Congress playing anti-secular in the elections were completely false and questioned whether the Shiv Sena and BJP were not preaching anti-secular thoughts. Present along with her was MRCC Chief Kripashankar Singh. Later on she addressed a rally at Tunga Village where she appealed to all to vote for Congress candidate Priya Dutt. Ravi Nikam, NMTV News.
