An earthquake of a magnitude 6.3 struck south western China on Sunday, killing 150 while many injured were immediately rushed to the hospital. The tremors were felt strongly in Yunnan, Guizhou and Sichuan, which resulted in many buildings as well as a whole school to collapse. The epicenter of the quake was in Ludian country in Yunnan province. Since it was a mountainous region so the population was numbered to a very small number.
After the earthquake, rescuers and troops were rushing everywhere to rescue the people trapped. Buildings, roads and cars were damaged severely. Electricity supplies had been cut out further disrupting the communication services in the affected regions. Kiran Kidwai – International Desk, NMTV
