EducationWorld India survey puts Mumbai schools top in pre school ranking

EducationWorld India declared it’s preschool ranking on Thursday. For the first time apart from reputed pre-schools this year the survey has also covered Anganwadis in the city. Among proprietary Besant Montessori School, Juhu ranked number 1 in the survey whereas in franchisee schools Kangaroo kids of Chembur bagged the top position. Among Anganwadis, Balwadi, Maneklal Mehta MPS School, Ghatkopar (W) stood number 1 and Goshala MPS School, Goshala Road, Mulund (W) was ranked 2 in the survey from Mumbai.

A survey was conducted in association with the Delhi-based market research and opinion polls company Centre for Forecasting and Research Pvt. Ltd (C fore) with a national sample of 8,245 respondents comprising parents with preschool children, principals and teachers interviewed.  On 10 parameters on which the pre-schools were ranked were the competence of teachers, teacher welfare, infrastructure, individual attention to students, value for money,  Leadership/management quality, Parental involvement, Innovative teaching, Safety and hygiene and special needs education.

Among the proprietary category pre-school Besant Montessori School, Juhu has stood on number one position since 2015. The Alpha Kids International, Andheri stood second this year which was in number 5 position in 2015. The third rank was bagged by Kookaburra at Juhu road stood third in the survey from city pre-schools.

Lina Ashar, Founder, Kangaroo Kids Education Ltd., said, “We always get 40 per cent of awards every year and it is all because of the great team effort. We always look for how we can do things better. We always want to maintain the quality of education.”

Echoing the sentiments of Ashar, Dr Swati Popat Vats, President- Podar Education Network, said, “We are very strict with our franchises and monitor all of them very closely. Our system of supervising them strictly is the same that is for our own centres that is why our quality is the same for all our own centres and franchises. We are very happy to see our franchises rank among ten.”
