Official work by government offices is more often than not accompanied by long queues, mismanagement and delays. Same was seen at St Mary’s School, Vashi, where forms for election photo identifications cards were being distributed. With the upcoming Loksabha elections, citizens are making a beeline for election offices to fill in their application. Voter ID forms are also being distributed at St Mary’s School, Vashi but unfortunately here too, the citizens are facing the ignorant attitude and mismanagement by the election office. Hemant Suklikar (54), a resident of Vashi was denied the form for the reason that his face did not match with his photo identity. Despite of producing various identifications, he was denied the form by the official. We spoke to Ramesh Shinde, President “C” ward committee Vashi, who informed that the official had denied forms to many people since morning for tiny issues. We tried to speak to the officer present in the office but the latter merely smiled and did not answer our questions. His colleague though spoke with us.
