Emirates Identity Authority lays down new law, free employees from the burden of costs of renewing National ID cards, UAE

In the Emirates it’s the responsibility of the sponsors for applying and renewing a residence visa for his employee who is not of the country. And so now the Emirates Identity Authority had made anew announcement, that along with renewing the residence visa, the sponsor will now have to bear all the cost of National ID cards along with its renewal, which costs around Dh200 for renewing every two year.

According to the authority, the reason for this move was because the mass enrollment of expatriate workers in the country for ID cards has recently been completed.
