Food and Drug Association carried out a raid on Pidlite Company known for making Fevicol and Feviquick for selling goods weighing lesser than the mentioned weight on the package. FDA would be taking strict action against the company for the default. Carrying out a raid on Pidlite Company, which is known for making Fevicol and Feviquick, FDA has seized around 19 lakh worth of goods. The FDA carried out the raid as the weight of the product was lesser than the mentioned weight on the packaging. Prior to the raid, the department had called for 80 samples for testing which were found to be below the mentioned weight. We spoke with the Controller who weighed and checked the products about the raid, Sudhir Wagh. The production of Fevicol for Pidlite Company was being manufactured in Hira Enterprises situated at Taloja and Vasai. In the raid around 62200 packet of fevicol was seized.
