The UAE National Day was celebrated with the patriotic fervor in different parts of the United Arab Emirates. Dubai was not far behind too which held a series of activities like fireworks, parade and live entertainment. The 43rd National Day saw a splendid array of fireworks at the iconic Burj Al Arab. Residents and tourists turned their heads upward as green, red, white and black fireworks filled the skyline with the day’s festivities.
The message that the President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan gave on this day revolved around safeguarding the Union. “As we celebrate the anniversary of the establishment of our State, we sense the tremendous national work that have been accomplished over the past ten years,” President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa said in a statement to a leading magazine on the occasion of the 43rd National Day of the UAE.
He said, “We are also proud of the loyal support we have received from the people and the strong assistance from the government, which, combined together, have transformed visions and initiatives into strategies, policies and activities whose prime objectives are to secure a decent life for citizens and to place the State among the ranks of the world’s most advanced nations.”
