Foreigners to face tougher driving laws laid down by the officials, Kuwait
Authorities of traffic department get even stricter for the eligibility of deriving driving license in the country. According to the traffic department officials only those foreigners who hold university degrees, earns around 400 dinars a month and have lived in emirates for at least two years, would only be considered eligible for achieving driving license in the country. Students, housewives with children, judges, lawyers, engineers and journalists have also been considered eligible. The rest of the foreigners would have to give up their driving license.
Laws for driving had always been very strict in Kuwait since a very long time but this sudden restriction is because of increase in traffic offense by the foreigners such as driving without a license or disrespecting traffic signals, breaking speed limits or even for using a vehicle to carry paying passengers, as been stated by the authorities.
