Fortis continues to commercially exploit the poor man’s hospital while Seven Hills hospital faces MCGM takeover

Given on the lines of NMMC Fortis in Navi Mumbai, the Seven Hills MCGM tie up too has run in troubled waters with Seven Hills facing a complete MCGM takeover.

Municipal commissioner Subodh Kumar informed the media that a decision on Seven-Hills hospital in Andheri will be taken within a month. He informed that both the parties had agreed on the same terms except free medicines issue which was yet to be resolved. Even the Commissioner confirmed that if Seven Hills does not accept their demands, then they would take the legal way. Better late than never ! Though the corporators of MCGM have come late, they have taken the bold decision of taking over Seven Hills if the private medical giant does not accept their demands. Unfortunately, this does not seem to be the case of NMMC, where Fortis continues to commercially exploit the poor man’s hospital and the poor man is not getting affordable super specialty services while corporators are failing to stand up for the poor.
