Girls Give Exhilarating Performance At Kairali, CBD’s Arengretam At Vashi

Second week in a row, the young disciples of guru. Smt. Sushma Gopinath, herself a renowned bharat natyam and mohiniattam dancer, made their guru proud, when they exhibited an enchanting performance of bharat natyam arangetram at the Vishnudas Bhave Auditorium in Vashi. The event was organized by Kairali, CBD, which aims at organizing events to bring the tradition and culture of the southern India to Navi Mumbai. The students who performed on the stage in front of the crowd this time were all between the age of 10-13 years and won the hearts of the audience as they performed with utmost ease and confidence. Their guru, Smt. Sushma Gopinath was more than satisfied with her disciples’ performance. The children Akshata, Leena, Saili, Seemal, Pooja and Shailaja share a common passion of learning Indian classical dances and had been learning bharat natyam from this institute. For this event particularly, they had been doing rigorous training. In the arangretram they performed dances depicting all gods from Lord Krishna to Lord Shiva and also did a tribal kind of dance.
