Glittering Ceremony Marks Graduation Day 2018 At BARC Training School

The Graduation Day 2018 for the 61st batch of the BARC Training School, Mumbai was held recently. Prof. Dr. Ganapati D Yadav, Vice Chancellor, Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT)graced the event as the Chief Guest. He was joined by senior BARC officials that included Dr. Sekhar Basu, Chairman, AEC, Dr. A P Tiwari, Head, HRDD and Dr. A.K Singh, OCESPI Section HRDD.

82 graduating trainees, which including 10 defense officers, were honored by the dignitaries. A trainees journal titled “Kaarvan” was also released on the occasion.

NMTV caught up with the Chief Guest Prof. Dr. Ganapati D Yadav. A padmashri, Dr. Yadav is an eminent name who has been recognized globally for his outstanding contributions to science and engineering. Dr Yadav expressed happiness on being a part of the event and said, “This is a great establishment, which has been serving the nation in not just safety and security but in many other areas that many people aren’t even aware of.”

He said that science is the only truth where lies don’t stand a chance.

The BARC Training School in Mumbai is a graduate school par excellence in the field of Nuclear Science & Technology and celebrated its silver jubilee last year. Bureau report – NMTV News.
