“I never said ‘Me Punha Yein’ but here I am” : CM Uddhav Thackeray lashes Devendra Fadnavis in Maharashtra assembly

Devendra Fadnavis was officially named the Opposition Leader of the House in the Maharashtra state assembly by speaker Nana Patole. And the ruling party led by CM Uddhav Thackeray and others made sure they bring Devendra Fadnavis down for his poem in the house, “Me punha yein”.

Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray while congratulating Devendra Fadnavis said, “I never said that I will come back, but I came in the house.” He taunted Devendra Fadnavis for forming his 3 days government with Ajit Pawar and said that, “I can assure you that I will not do anything midnight. I will be working for the people of Maharashtra.”

In his speech, CM Thackeray lamented that their primary focus is going to be farmers, waiving their loans and working to ease their concerns and challenges. He continued to take a jibe at Devendra Fadnavis and said that, “We have been friends for long. Had you listened to us, I would be sitting at home, watching you speak in the house on TV,” said CM Uddhav Thackeray.
