One of the most common sports during rainy season is trekking. While it is an adventurous sport it is also very risky. We bring to you some steps that you need to know before you move out of your house to go for trekking. Monsoon brings along opportunities to trek through hills, breathe fresh air and watch shimmering waterfalls cascading down the hills in glee. Navi Mumbai is gifted with a number of hills apt for trekking. We take you to one such spot of the city, the hills close to the detention pond at artist village in CBD Belapur. Joining us on this journey is an avid trekker from CBD Belapur Praveen Francis, who has been trekking from the time he was in school. Praveen says that the four most important things that one must remember before leaving the house for trekking is good shoes for grip, binoculars for getting a good view once on top, shorts to make yourself comfortable and a water bottle. While climbing make sure you don’t step on algae as it is slippery and while coming down use a stick for support. A great getaway for the weekends, these picturesque locales offer nature lovers and bird watchers many opportunities to soak in the beauty and charm of nature. A sport as well as a bobby, trekking provides the much-needed excuse for exercise and opportunity to have lots of fun. Many nature lover say that the feeing of excitement and a sense of relaxation that one gets after reaching on top is amazing and probably worth the risk.
