In a thrilling act of moves, Novak Djokovic wins the Wimbledon final against Roger Federer, London

Roger Federer is one of the top names listed in Wimbledon wins. And from what could have been seen in the start of the match, one was confident that Federer is going to struck again. Even Djokovic by the fifth set knew that Federer game was far more tough than what he had anticipated. Tough but not impossible, with that belief Djokovic fought back and surprised Federer along with the World as he won the Wimbledon match in a 5-set classic.

“I could have easily lost my concentration in the fifth and just handed him the win. But I didn’t and that is why this win has a special importance for me, mentally. I managed to not just win against my opponent, but win against myself, as well, and that is my strength” as been said by Djokovic after receiving his trophy. And directly pointing at Federer said, ‘I respect your career and everything that you have done, and thank you for letting me win today’.

Well at that Federer did give a smile back but knew exactly about his loss. If Roger Federer would have won the match it would have been a record eight championship at the All England Club and that would have been counted among the legends. Kiran Kidwai – International Desk, NMTV
