India celebrates its 67th year of Independence amidst political clashes of words between Indian leaders

All over India, the Indians celebrated Independence Day with complete enthusiasm and joy, where flags were hoisted in schools, colleges, important buildings, and by respective leaders in their states. Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh hoisted the National flag at Red Fort in New Delhi and delivered his last speech ahead of the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. Amidst all celebrations, Gujarat chief Minister Narendra Modi made apolitical attack on the Prime Minister speech and his work for the country for the past nine years. Modi also attacked the Congress government stating that their rule had given rise to corruption in the country. BJP leader also accused the Prime Minister that the only praise for the freedom fighters that is stored within him, is that of his own family leaders, besides that he would not even remember the name of other freedom fighters.
While BJP chief Minister Narendra Modi kept attacking the Prime Minster and his work for the past nine years throughout his speech, Dr Manmohan Singh while addressing the nation didn’t take any particular name but very clearly pointed out that there is no place for narrow sectarian ideologies in a modern country.
