Indian elevator repairman dies after accidentally being crushed by the elevator in Sharjah, UAE

Shajo. Sh. S. 33, an Indian elevator repairman dies after being accidentally crushed by the elevator. While doing the routine maintenance work of the elevator at a residential building in Sharjah, the deceased was cleaning the doors of the elevator floor by floor. While doing so in the third floor Shajo. was in the passage through which elevator goes up and down. It was then through reasons till unknown the elevator cab suddenly fell down, crushing him between the passage wall and the cab.
The victims workmates tried to rescue him but weren’t able to do so. For forty minutes they tried to pull him out but after they failed, then they informed the authorities. Before the arrival of the rescue team the victim had died. The body of the deceased was been send to the forensic and the officials informed that after a complete investigation, they would be able to derive the exact reason for the collapse of the lift. Meanwhile, the officials also emphasized the importance of informing the authorities immediately in such cases.
