Union Agriculture Minister Shard Pawar was in the city to participate in a meet to respect to the constitution of India. The meet to pay respect to the constitution of India was organized by the President of the Maharashtra Worker’s Cell – Vijay Kamble in wake of the 58th Republic Day celebrations. Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar who arrived to grace the meet as the Chief Guest spoke about the highlights that make India’s constitution the best in the world. He said that the qualities of unity and equality binds the constitutions of India and these qualities makes a healthy democracy and unity that prevails in the country today. He said that from poor to rich, peons to Ministers – all are same in the eye of the laws and the constitution. He remembered the father of the constitutions – Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar and his contributions to make the constitution of India so complete. The leader paid rich tributes to Dr. Ambedkar here. Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar however refused to speak to the media requesting that this was a non-political event. Amongst the prominent presenties was Maharashtra Worker’s Cell’s Vice President Chandu Patil.
