Italian Tax police seizes $1.5bn assets of late Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi and all his associates

Last year when Gaddafi forces were attacking the civilians in Libya, in union with the UN resolutions Italy had frozen all the assets of Gaddafi and his associates. The seizure was requested by the International Criminal Court in Hague who is investigating all the matters related with Gaddafi.

The assets included a 1.256 per cent share of Italian Bank Uni credit, 1.5 per cent of Juventus soccer team and 0.58 per cent of energy giant Eni. Gaddafi assets also included a Rome apartment, land on the Sicilian island of Pantelleria and two motorcycles. Kiran Kidwai – International Desk, NMTV
