The summer vacations have begun and the students are on an enrolment spree in various summer camps across the city. One such summer swimming camp, is going on in Father Agnel’s Sports Centre. Take a look at how the students enjoy a dip in the pool and learn this sport. Summer vacations have kick started and there’s no better way to enjoy the vacation, then enrolling in various summer camps and learning different sports. One such summer camp is going on in the Father Agnel’s Sport Centre, where a large number of students have enrolled themselves, to learn swimming. The summer camp began on 9th April and will end on 1st May. The swimming training begins at 7am and goes on till 12pm, during which the students are divided into different batches, according to their age group and are guided by swimming coaches. The students are given a basic training of swimming and taught different styles and strokes in swimming. And the children are definitely very excited about spending their vacations in the camp, as they were free from the exam tension and stress. For the children, swimming gave respite from the summer heat and also teaches them survival techniques during the floods and calamities. The Head Coach Gokul Kamath, at the centre, gave an insight into the camp and spoke on why swimming was important for the children.
